2024 Festival of Monsters
The UC Santa Cruz Center for Monster Studies 2024 Festival of Monsters takes place October 11-18 in Santa Cruz, CA. The Festival’s free public days open Friday, Oct. 11 with a reading by NYT Bestselling Author Kiersten White and a performance by Circus of the Moon at the Museum of Art and History. Masks by Trick or Treat Studios will adorn the space. On Oct. 12, the Festival screens the silent horror film Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror outdoors on the Oakes College campus. The Festival’s academic conference opens Oct. 16 with a staged reading of Melanie Stewart’s Monster and ends Oct. 18 with the Monsters’ Ball.
