2022 Festival of Monsters - Der Golem Screening

The 2022 UC Santa Cruz Festival of Monsters began the night of May 20 with a screening of the 1920 silent horror film Der Golem. Directed by Paul Wegener, the film tells the tale of a sorcerous rabbi who conjures a clay monster to protect his people from a pogrom. A student ensemble gave the film a spooky soundtrack.
